The 2010 campaign originated from a spontaneous suggestion at the South African Hebron Haven Bible School in July 2004. A meeting was held to discuss the consistent year-by-year decrease of our numbers in South Africa as well as our preaching methods and activeness. It was decided that we would embark on a long term (5-year) campaign to significantly change our preaching methods of the past that did not result in growth.

The five year plan was designed to incorporate the following:
2005 - Planning.
2006 - Creating world wide awareness of the campaign (actual starting point of the campaign).
2007 to 2008 - Specific and focused preaching.
2009 to 2010 - Continued preaching and pastoral work (especially for newly formed ecclesias).

The vision of the 2010 campaign was (and still is):
 • To significantly increase our numbers and our number of ecclesias in South Africa.
 • To increase labourers in the harvest field.
 • To create platforms for people to preach.
 • To encourage support from overseas.
 • To develop new preaching methods.
 • To invest in communities provoking them to ask about our faith.
 • To reach out to communities through a "touch-and-teach" approach.
 • To grow our youth in numbers and spiritually and find those who have gone astray.

2010 will be the final year for the 2010 campaign. It has been an absolutely amazing 5 years since the origin and planning year in 2005. God has exceeded our wildest expectations and 2010 will be the year where we celebrate what He has done, communicate to the world how awesome He is and catapult ourselves to beyond 2010 with a new campaign.

We have had growth in numbers and although it has not been to the extent that we originally hoped for we never expected or foresaw the many other PHENOMENAL blessings that would result as well. Some of them are the growth in our spiritual lives, the lives of our young people, the hope, encouragement and inspiration we have given our brotherhood worldwide, the support, encouragement and inspiration we have received in return, the incredible increase in fellowship and friendships with so many brethren and sisters visiting our country, the closer world wide family we have grown into and the many many ways we have found to increase our platforms for preaching and creating so much more opportunities for preaching. All this through the strength of God and Jesus and to their glory and honour alone.
